A Way to Celebrate
Osho Summer Celebration at Croydon Hall

Existence pushed me out of my beloved relationship, pushed me to go on, out of the cosy comfort of hugs, talks and cuddling. What pain, what shock – and at the same time the deep knowing inside of me that what was happening was good. From one day to the other the whole world opened up. Without children or other responsibilities I was free to go wherever I wanted to go.

I researched for a country that was not too hot and for a place in the countryside where I could work and live with other people who were interested in their inner growth. I also thought that it could be an Osho place. The internet provided Croydon Hall! So I have been living and working here as a member of the community for the last 2 ½ months.

We were happy to welcome around 130 guests at Croydon Hall for the Osho Summer Celebration last weekend. The summer was a little bit missing with all the rain but the celebration part worked great!

Most of the people have known each other for many years. The weekend is a meeting, greeting, joking, celebration of connections with each other and a whole ‘togetherness’ with Osho. Most of the sannyasins are from ‘the first generation’ of sannyasins but there were a surprisingly large number of new people too. The program was wide-ranging and the workshops well attended.

The lovely Presence band played wonderful heart-touching music. The silence was deep, the joy big, and the ‘OSHO!’s loud.

I love the evening meditations, both at the Celebration and during the normal work week. To enjoy the Master’s discourse nearly every evening is the essence and main reason for me to stay here in the community. The evening meditation is like taking a shower on the inside; like diving into nothingness without diving. There is an understanding about what he is saying. To be honest, sometimes the long stories are not always very interesting, but Osho’s presence, awareness, silence and wisdom is the biggest gift one can receive. I love him for his patience, his braveness and radicalism.

It seemed to me that the people who joined in for the Summer Celebration built up a wonderful, intense energy field and also that there was real enjoying and celebrating.

I’m so thankful for the seeds Osho sent out into the world. They are blossoming now everywhere. ‘OSHO!’
