Croydon Hall
Shruti
It feels strange not to have Gupi floating around strewing his pearls of wisdom on life, the universe and everything. But as with the seasons, so many people have come, lived and left Croydon Hall and Gupi felt that his stewardship at Croydon Hall too had come to an end. And being Gupi, as he owned Croydon Hall, it was not just a simple wave of a wet hanky, the community at the front door and him driving up the drive with a jolly wave. No, he had to ensure the sale of Croydon Hall went off smoothly to a family who are keen that the business continues as before. So we will still remain the venue with a difference, still continue with hosting various personal growth workshops and IS-ness will remain our Business!
To that extent I, Shruti, remain the General Manager and am joined by Leela (in the office), Anahato and Shantidas (in the kitchen) with Shankara and Amitabh, as the tribal elders, (and much of the other community members) helping and making sure that what we have remains the same with Osho and meditations as the foundation of whatever we do at Croydon Hall. Osho and the community has always been the USP of Croydon Hall and we all intend that to remain so. Over the years, Croydon Hall has become one of the major personal growth centres and has carved a niche for itself in the holistic market. The new owners fully intend to support that and indeed its growth in the holistic field.
So at a pratical level you will notice the infrastructure being upgraded – faster computers, wider and faster internet access, newer machines to work with etc and at another level, the community remains, the Osho Meditation weekends will continue as before with the celebrations – winter and summer – continuing with our beloved band Presence taking us even deeper into silence, joy and celebration. Talking of which we do not have many places left on the Summer Celebration, so book now! See you then!
